About Three to a Room
Three to a Room is an acclaimed Melbourne-based theatre company, founded by and for independent arts practitioners with a view to creating outstanding theatre, and to showcase the work of up-and-coming playwrights on a national and international stage.
Three to a Room comprises three key players: Claire Glenn, Charlotte Strantzen, and Ellen Gales. The founding team initially worked together as key members of White Whale Theatre's Macbeth Re-Arisen, a production that achieved both critical acclaim and financial success at the 2006 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and were inspired to form Three to a Room during this adventure. Individually, each has extensive experience in similar ventures.

Claire Glenn - Producer / Touring Manager
Claire Glenn began her acting career in New Zealand. She graduated from the University of Otago in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts (Drama). Upon moving to Melbourne, Claire worked with St Martin's Youth Arts Centre, performed in Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues, and appeared in the European premiere of White Whale Theatre's Macbeth Re-Arisen at the 2006 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
In 2006, Claire switched roles and became Producer when she co-founded Three to a Room. As well as serving as Producer for the company she is also Tour Manager and, when necessity calls, Production Manager. She has co-produced successful international seasons of Darragh Martin's An Air Balloon Across Antarctica (Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2007), Adam J.A. Cass's I Love You, Bro and Sisters Grimm's Mommie & the Minister (both for Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2008). She also produced seasons of I Love You, Bro and An Air Balloon Across Antarctica in Melbourne; and produced and performed in An Air Balloon Across Antarctica in Adelaide where it was nominated for a Drama award.
Claire's natural aptitude for producing and coordinating international tours saw her invitation to become Tour and Project Manager for the highly acclaimed On Invisible Wings. Claire has recently been appointed Performing Arts Director for the Swan Hill Rural City Council and has moved to North-West Victoria to take up her post. |
